This Two-Time CEO and Founder Started Out in a Dorm Room in Lahore

“I don’t think there is overnight success. A lot of hard work is needed in these companies.” That belief has shaped the journey of Muhammad Raza Saeed, co-founder and CEO of Confiz Limited—one of Pakistan’s most respected global tech firms, and co-founder of PakWheels.com—the country’s leading automotive platform. After graduating from LUMS in 2005, Saeed founded Confiz, which has since grown to provide cutting-edge digital solutions to Fortune 100 clients with teams across Pakistan, the U.S., and Europe.

At a time when Pakistan had no startup ecosystem, no venture capital support, and no real guidance for first-time founders, Saeed and his peers carved out their own path—one built on persistence, experimentation, and a deep belief in long-term thinking.

During his sophomore year at LUMS, Muhammad Raza Saeed and a group of classmates entered an IEEE technology competition with an innovative idea: replacing manual electricity meter readings with a wireless network that could transfer meter data automatically.

Although their project didn’t make it to the top ten, the team remained committed to the vision. They pitched it to Syed Babar Ali, the founder of LUMS, who pointed them to Abdul Razak Dawood, founder of Descon Engineering; however, they could not secure an investment. At the time, there was also no infrastructure to support startups in Pakistan.

Faced with these setbacks, the team adapted quickly. They discovered a freelance website where software engineers could find projects, but ironically, registering required a $1,500 fee—an enormous sum for college students. Fortunately, one of Raza’s former school tutors invested in their potential by covering the fee, enabling them to land software development projects and gain valuable experience. This marked the true beginning of their entrepreneurial path—driven by ingenuity and persistence.

After graduating in 2005, Raza officially founded Confiz Limited. Under his leadership, the company evolved into a multinational technology company offering services in software engineering, mobile app development, enterprise integration, business intelligence, and machine learning. Today, Confiz serves some of the world’s leading enterprises—demonstrating that Pakistani tech talent can thrive and compete on a global stage.

One core principle guides Raza’s leadership: continuous improvement. Whether streamlining internal workflows or enhancing how solutions are delivered to clients, he believes that no process should remain static. Every system, no matter how small, is open to rethinking and rebuilding when needed.

Raza finds inspiration in the everyday achievements of those around him. Rather than looking solely to famous figures, he values the quiet, meaningful work happening within local communities. “If you look around, a lot of people are doing inspiring things on their own,” he observes.

From collaborating with peers in a dorm room to steering one of Pakistan’s leading tech firms, Raza’s career is a testament to what’s possible when vision meets grit.

In addition to Confiz, he has co-founded and led ventures like PakWheels.com, Simobo, Simplicant, and Uraan—each shaped by his belief in building from scratch and scaling with purpose. His journey offers aspiring entrepreneurs a simple but powerful lesson: if you keep showing up for your ideas, the world eventually shows up for you.
